Well, it is October 15 and we have still resisted turning on the heat in our home. I’m pretty proud of that fact, considering if was a high of 50 degrees yesterday! Thankfully today we’re supposed to be in the 60s, but I’m not sure we can last too much longer. Based on the Instagram poll I put up yesterday morning, most of you have already turned on your heat. I’ll join you soon 🙂 During this past chilly weekend, I had an urge to do a little Halloween decorating. Check out this simple and quick Halloween tablescape idea!

My tablescapes may not be extravagant, but I also don’t even have a dining room! I still love creating a two-person decorated table that is fun and inviting. Most components were things I found around the house, and a few new things from the dollar store. For this place setting I paired a silver charger, black plate with a smaller white plate for a layered look. The black goblets paired perfectly for Halloween if you ask me! Also find my silverware set here.
The icing on top of this tablescape has to be this spiderweb ornament I found at the Dollar Tree. They came in packs of 5, and for $1, I can’t imagine anything else better for a subtle, spooky touch. I couldn’t find anything similar, but putting a couple of these on your plates should do the trick!
The lace runner was something left over from our wedding. I covered it with two strands of autumn leaf garland. I wanted to keep things pretty black and white, but the pop or orange really completes things. I also love these black and white pumpkins that look like they were made for Halloween! You could also make your own using plain, white pumpkins.
For the centerpiece, I kept is simple with a spiderweb basket with a cute little pumpkin salt and pepper shaker set. Cute and convenient!
I don’t typically decorate much for Halloween, but this little project just seemed fun. We live in a neighborhood, but don’t typically have many trick-or-treaters. I do, however, have a couple tricks (or treats) up my sleeve for some exterior decorations. Make sure to check back next week to see! As always, thanks for stopping by my little corner of the internet at Beau Place Like Home. I hope you enjoyed this easy Halloween tablescape idea!
