Well it’s officially here on the blog – Christmas Decor! Usually I wait until the day after Thanksgiving to put up my Christmas decorations, but this year I decided to make myself happy and put them up early. And boy am I glad I did! The first corner of our home I want to share is my Christmas shelf decor. This is actually the corner we put our Christmas tree, but because we get real, we won’t be getting that for another week. As soon as the tree comes, this shelf goes. Let’s enjoy it while we can!
This is the view from where I sit on the couch. As much as I love having our big, twinkly tree in this corner, I am really loving how this shelf came together. Our coffee table centerpiece is a holdover from my husband’s bachelor days. He really enjoys when I incorporate some of his decor into our home, and I actually love this piece! We just buy scented pinecones each year and I wrap them with fairy lights.

I added these fairy lights to those cute black lanterns, so at night the entire corner sparkles! The only thing I don’t love about the fairy lights I have is that you have to manually turn them on and off each time. Someday I’ll upgrade to lights with a remote, but they were such a great price at $10.88 for a pack of 6!
I can’t find the exact link for that cute little Christmas tree, but I got it at Walmart. They have lots of good options!
How cozy are all of the twinkle lights?? I mean, nothing compares to having the tree up. However, I’d say this is pretty great transitional work with this Christmas shelf decor. Peep my seasonal pillow covers to the left. Pillow covers are my biggest tip for changing things up on a budget!
Ok, ok I know. You can’t actually see much of the shelf decor in this picture, but I just had to show you what happens every time I try to take decor pictures in our house. Baxter just has to make his way in. I kind of don’t mind, though, because I just think he’s so darn cute 🙂
I’ll start sharing more of our Christmas decor here, and on my Instagram page as the season progresses. As you’re preparing for the Christmas season, make sure you’re checking out my handy gift guides. I’ll be adding more really soon! If there’s any you’d like to see specially, be sure to let me know by commenting!
