I’m super excited to share this blog post with you today! With the weather finally turning for the better here in Michigan, I can hear patio season calling my name. One thing that we’re considering doing this spring/summer is putting in a new deck in our backyard. The two options we’re weighing is 1. DIY wood deck or 2. Bringing in a company to pour a concrete patio. While we continue to contemplate that, I wanted to bring you an outdoor mood board, all using products from Wayfair.

The Main Pieces
The first thing every good outdoor space needs is a table and chairs. With Baby Beauchamp getting ready to make her appearance, I could see us hosting more this summer – as long as some of these social distancing guidelines get lifted. I’m a big fan of natural wood, so this 7 piece dining set would be my go-to, regardless of if we go with a wooden deck or concrete.
We absolutely love our umbrella just like this one. My favorite feature is the mobility of the shade. It an be raised, lowered and angled to shade from the harsh sun rays. We’ll definitely be wanting to protect baby girl’s sensitive newborn skin!
Fire pits – we all need one! Trust me on this. Here in Michigan one of our favorite pastimes is sitting around the fire with a cocktail and some marshmallows. In our backyard we have an actual fire pit in the ground near the back of our property, but we have talked for years about wanting a stand similar to this one. I love that is is actually wood burning, not just a gas flame.
The Accessories
You know I couldn’t finish out this outdoor mood board without some fun accessories! Pillows are the perfect way to make your outdoor space feel more comfy cozy. I personally like something colorful, especially to pop against the wood dining set. You CAN’T beat the price for these four pillows. I personally wouldn’t spend much on outdoor pillows, especially because I’ll probably forget to take them in. These are cute and affordable! P.S. don’t forget to grab your outdoor storage bin!
These lights are in my shopping cart in preparation for our backyard makeover. I mean, how magical would your patio or deck be with these adorable string lights hanging overhead?
Something people often don’t think about is an outdoor thermometer! I have to say, this one was added to the list for my husband. He’s always wanted a good outdoor thermometer, and I can’t say I blame him. Weather in Michigan can turn so quickly, so being able to look out and see an accurate reading just makes sense!
