Long time no talk, friends! I have a fun opportunity to help my parents with a bathroom renovation, so I figured I’d bring you along with the process. Due to a fun turn of events, my parents have bought their very own fixer upper on some land, so they’re getting ready to sell my childhood home. That includes updating this bathroom that has been roughly the same since I was born 🙂
Now keep in mind, the bathtub surround has already been removed. We will be keeping the vanity, pulls and the beautiful granite. My dad is super handy, so he already pulled out the tub, and we’ll be getting all new flooring, tub, tile and toilet. My dad will be doing all of the work himself, which will save tons of money!
Since we live in Michigan, you should know we’re Menard’s people. Especially since they have had the 11% rebate program going literally every week since the COVID shutdown in March. Dutch people love to save money. I perused the Menard’s website to create a few mood boards to get us started. I’ll link the tiles below each board.

What do you think? Which is your favorite? What I love about creating mood boards is that you can see all of the elements put together. I’m still trying to decide on paint colors to go with these schemes, but we have a while before we’re to that part in this bathroom renovation.
I’ll keep you updated on the progress. I’m excited to see how this one plays out!
