Y’all. 2020 has been a TRIP! I think we can all agree that we won’t miss the craziness this year has brought us. We all know that businesses have been hit hard due to the shutdowns, but small businesses especially. This year I wanted to put together a gift guide with some of my favorite small businesses. And to show you I’m serious, I’m only including shops that I have personally shopped at! Let’s get going on this Small Business Gift Guide, 2020 edition!
Because these are all small shops, I do not earn a commission off most of these links. However, there may be some that I do. Please know that my commission will never result in you paying more, and I have personally spent my own hard-earned money at each of these small businesses. To learn more, visit my disclosure page.
Kalamazoo Candle Company
100% Natural Soy Candles
I’ve talked about Kalamazoo Candle Company over on my Instagram plenty of times. I’ve bought plenty of their candles throughout the years, and as a “thank you” they sent me their new sample pack pictured below! My favorite is Sugared Spruce!
Sticks + Stoney
Jewelry
My girl Stoney from Stocks + Stoney makes the cutest earrings! These are what I have in my collection so far, and I’m giving a few away as Christmas gifts this year! She also makes the most stylish plant hangers for those plant mamas out there.
Local to you wine!
Wine
I’m lucky enough to live in a state that produces awesome wine! I’ll list some of my favorites below for my Michigan friends!
- Leelanau Cellars
- Chateau Chantal
- Black Star Farms
- Sutton Bay Ciders
- Round Barn Winery
- Verterra Winery
- St. Julian Winery
Little Sprout Boutique
Children’s Goods
I first visited Little Sprout Boutique when we found out that Emery was going to be a girl. I walked around for well over an hour looking at all of the cuteness! Their products may be on the pricier side, but I do love knowing that I’m supporting a local, small business.
Cutting Webb Designs
Custom Made Signs
My friend Stephanie owns Cutting Webb Designs and I’ve bought a few goodies from her now! She designed a custom doormat for us as well as Emery’s bow holder! She doesn’t have much on her Etsy page, but message her on Instagram if you’re interested in something custom. Tell her I sent you!
Gazelle Sports
Sporting Goods, Running
Believe it or not, I used to be an avid runner. Now my husband and I are both “fair weather runners,” mostly when the gyms were closed. We both get our running shoes from Gazelle Sports. If you’re local to Michigan, they have a few stores, but they also have a vast online store. Check them out for all of your running needs, including shoes, apparel, nutrition, hydration, head lamps, etc.
I’ll keep updating this last as I think of more small and local businesses. Any that you would recommend? Drop it in the comments!
