Happy Tuesday blog readers! This blog post has been long coming, and I can’t believe I haven’t shared this simple DIY before now. Although I may not have the greenest thumb out there, I sure know how to display my plants … while they are alive… Check out this simple, DIY Plant Stand that I came up with this Spring.
Ok, story time: I found this child-sized chair on the side of the road. I am not too proud to go through someone else’s “trash” for free decor. I didn’t really go through someone else’s trash, but close. Our neighborhood has roadside pickup twice a year, and it’s like Christmas for cheap, decor-loving ladies like myself. People put so many goodies out by the road that just need a little tender, loving care.

This is what the rocking chair looked like when we found it. Fingers crossed my neighbor who was throwing this out doesn’t read my blog 😉 Because the chair was missing one arm rest, we decided to cut off the posts coming up from the chair. I loved the natural wood, so I decided not to paint this one. Maybe someday I will with my go-to chalk paint.
See it over there next to our garage? I think it’s so cute when people walk into our mud room and pass it. And do you know what my favorite part is? The price – free! Have you ever found a trash to treasure piece! I’d love to hear about it. Leave a comment below or reach out on Instagram!
Finding stuff for free is the best! I love how you used the planters, it’s a nice pop by the door! So lovely.
Thank you so much Gladys! Free is my favorite price 🙂
