Well folks, it’s finally Friday! I had to write up a quick blog post to explain the small change I made to our bathroom. Now listen here, I am not decorating for fall yet. I know Instagram is filled with new fall inspiration, and I’ll get there. I actually have it planned into my schedule for NEXT weekend. But for now, I have a small transition from our lovely Michigan summers into our even lovelier Michigan fall. My solution to this in-between time is sunflowers! Come check out my first hints of fall decor!
You may remember when I added beautiful, watercolor floral prints to our bathroom for spring. I loved the color it brought to the space. Well, I figured since fall is inevitably coming, I better throw in some yellows and oranges. Sunflowers to me are the perfect transition from summer into early fall.

I’m always a sucker for free stuff, so when I found these free printables from Ann at On Sutton Place, I fell in love! She has these and SO many more. Want them too? All you have to do is subscribe to her newsletter and you will have full access. I just printed mine off a regular printer and put in my black frames. Find similar ones here. I love that I can switch these up with every new season for so cheap – if not free!
So tell me, have you started putting up your fall decorations yet? Me, I’m more of a September kind of gal. However, I also start my Christmas decorating before Thanksgiving, so no judgement here from me 🙂 I’ll end this blog post with a tip I heard from my friend Laura over at Harper Home Designs. Want to add a quick fall element while still keeping summer for a few weeks longer? Trader Joe’s has an amazing selection of fresh sunflowers. Pick yourself up a bundle, throw it in a farmhouse style pitcher and you’re all set! I hope you enjoyed my first hints of fall decor. Make sure you check on Ann’s free printables!
