Hello! I’m alive! It has been 10 months since I posted on here which is crazy. Actually I paid my hosting fee today and it got my butt into gear. My husband doesn’t like wasting money so I better get back to this hobby of mine. Mom life though, you know??
Thankfully I have a super fun before and after to post on here. If you follow me over on Instagram you know we’ve been renovating our basement. That renovation has also taken an ENTIRE YEAR to complete. And when I say “complete” I mean as much as we’re going to do now. We could use new carpet but that is just not in the budget right now. So let’s get into some basement before and after’s!

You may remember that I actually WON this fireplace insert from Dimplex and @comestayawhile on Instagram! I was so excited and it is the perfect addition to our basement. The main changes down here were new paint and the addition of the fireplace. Honestly the fireplace makes the biggest difference and it’s something I’m very proud of. My dad and I built it together and it was time well spent to me. For decor we mostly used what we already had. I’m a firm believer that you can update your space without spending an insane amount of money. If you learn anything from this blog, I hope it’s that ❤️
