Hello there! Long time no see – literally – we’re under quarantine! How’s everyone doing out there? I’ve been feeling a little un-inspired at the moment, which is why I’ve been quiet on the blog and Instagram front. Being pregnant puts me in the “high risk” category, so I haven’t really been leaving the house much in the last week. I recently saw someone on Instagram say that now, more than ever, making our home into a haven is so important. I couldn’t agree more! We may be stuck here for a while, but I could think of worse places to be.
Today I wanted to share how I did an easy bathroom update a few weeks ago. We renovated our bathroom a while ago and I still love it! However, over the years my style has changed, and it was just a little too white for me. I know – shocking! But I was ready for some color in here! Let’s start with a “before.”
I still love the DIY Shiplap that we did in here, but like I said, it’s a little too white. Cue a pop of green!
Now, I’ve been dropping hints to my husband for months that I wanted to do this project, and he kept giving me a “no” vibe. But, that “no” came from the fact that he didn’t want to do the actual work 🙂 Neither one of us loves painting, so this project wasn’t something we were super excited about. So, one day when he was out of town dirt biking, I knocked out the painting and surprised him!
One of the best parts of this project is that it cost me $0! We already had this paint leftover from the accent wall in our master bedroom, and it is also the same paint we used to paint our interior doors green! I like that the paint colors are all tying into each other throughout the house.
So what do you think? Anyone surprised that I covered up some of the white in our home? Someday we’d love to rip out the linoleum floors and the bath fitter tub in here, but for now, I’m so happy with the quick and easy bathroom update during this time of quarantine.
