Hello! Happy Friday! If you’ve been following along with my stories on Instagram lately you know that I was busy at work this week giving our basement a little update. I did some painting and then ONLY styled using items we already had. You can catch up on everything through video HERE on my “Basement Highlight.” Let’s showcase a couple photos though, shall we?
Before

“During”
I say “during” because the real “after” is going to come this spring when we do some more renovations.

I put together this cute, little sitting area – not because we’ll sit down here much – but because I just wanted the space to feel homey. My husband works from home down here and it’s been a hot mess since we moved in. I want him to have a space that feel somewhat finished even though we have a LONG way to go.

This antique bookshelf was fun to style with our books and then some old books I’ve collected along the way.

We still have a long way to go, but I’d say it’s way better than a week ago! We have a few decorations up, even if they won’t stay there permanently. Oh, and did you see the DIY sports art piece I made this week? You can see the REEL I made HERE.
Well that’s it for me. The main reason I wanted to document this quick basement refresh was to show you that you don’t have to make big changes to make a big impact. We have a renovation planned in the spring, but I didn’t want to wait that long to make the space feel better. I used what we already had and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
Have a great weekend!
