Two-Ingredient Valentine’s Day Donuts

This is kind of a fun post for me with Valentine’s Day coming up. We’ve all seen tons of Pinterest posts about Valentine’s Day cookie recipes, but how many have you seen about donuts? I love cookies, but personally I’d choose a donut any day. This recipe is so easy, that anyone can do it with only two ingredients. You may even have them in your pantry already. Let’s get going on this two-ingredient Valentine’s Day donuts!

Ingredients

  • 1 box cake mix of choice: I am using classic white
  • 1 bottle soda of choice: I am using Faygo Redpop
  • *Optional: food coloring if you would like your cake colored

– Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

-In a large bowl, mix the box of dry cake mix (no other ingredients) together with one can soda of choice. Mix together until there are no clumps. Pour bowl of batter into a gallon ziploc bag. Cut a small hole in one corner to pipe the dough into your greased donut pan.

-Bake for about 15 minutes. Let donuts cool in pan for 5 minutes before removing. Place on baking rack to cool. Once cool, frost and sprinkle if you would like! Otherwise, they are also delicious plain.
